Is 195 the Maximum 195-0 Score?
Yes. Your conquest result represents the number of countries held by the completed cabinet. The server clamps every verified score between zero and 195, and the displayed losses are simply 195 minus that score. The number is fictional game output, not a judgment about a public figure’s real-world character, ability, or politics. It exists to make the draft legible, comparable, and easy to share.
The model has three parts: role fit for all five appointments, a modest country-diversity contribution, and a field condition derived from the run seed plus the final cabinet. Role fit has the greatest influence. That choice keeps the strategy understandable: matching a candidate’s broad public field to a relevant office is more valuable than chasing hidden randomness.
Role Fit and Cabinet Score
Each seat has a five-field score table. The President favors Politics and then Military. The Vice President values Politics and Science, with Business close behind. The General strongly favors Military and gives Science a useful secondary route. The Propaganda Minister favors Culture, then Politics. The Treasurer strongly favors Business and treats Science as the main alternative. Every category remains playable in every office, so a constrained Daily round never becomes impossible, but the difference between a premium fit and a desperate fit is meaningful.
The scoring table evaluates broad category relationships only. It does not scrape biographies, generate opinions about living people, or infer private traits. Candidate records contain a name, a country association, and one broad field. This deliberate limit makes server replay practical and keeps the experience focused on the player’s cabinet decisions.
Country Diversity Bonus
Every distinct country in the completed cabinet adds a small amount to the base. The contribution rewards a more international lineup without overwhelming the five assignments. If two candidates fit the same open role almost equally, selecting the person who adds another country may produce the stronger system. If one candidate is a natural General and the other is a poor match, taking diversity at the expense of the specialist is usually a mistake.
The maximum diversity contribution comes from five different countries. A cabinet is allowed to repeat a country, but it cannot repeat a person or a role. Candidate pools are validated before launch so every active country-field pair contains at least three eligible names.
Deterministic Daily Score Conditions
A small value from zero to 20 is derived from the run seed and a stable, sorted representation of the cabinet. In Classic, a fresh run receives a fresh signed seed. In Daily, the UTC date, data version, and a server secret generate the shared seed. Because the final cabinet is part of the calculation, changing an appointment can change this bounded condition; replaying an identical Daily cabinet cannot.
Deterministic does not mean publicly predictable. The browser receives enough information to render and finish a local game, but leaderboard publication is verified by the server. Keeping the Daily source protected prevents players from calculating every result in advance without actually drafting.
How Verified Scores Reach the Leaderboard
Starting a run returns a signed token containing its mode, seed, period, data version, and start time. The browser records country and category respins, candidate drafts, and role assignments. On publication, the server verifies the signature and expiration, replays the entire action log, rebuilds every candidate pool, confirms that each chosen person was available, rejects duplicate candidates or roles, and calculates the result again. The client’s displayed score is never trusted as input.
Classic records use the all-time period, while Daily records use the current UTC date. Higher scores rank first; equal scores favor shorter completion duration, followed by the earlier stored result. Each anonymous device contributes one personal best per mode and period. If Neon is unavailable, gameplay and local scoring continue without writing an unverified fallback score.
